Websites and Software for Accountants

Websites and software for accountants can save a practice hours of chasing and win it better clients. We build practice websites today, and we are designing practice management software for UK firms with one real practice. This page is clear about which is which, so you know what you can use now and what is still planned.

Websites and software for accountants: what we offer
Many practices still collect records on paper, as PDFs or by email. Staff retype figures, chase clients for missing documents and track deadlines in spreadsheets. A firm needs a website that earns trust and brings enquiries, plus systems that cut the retyping and the chasing. We work on both.

Accountancy firm website
A good accountancy firm website explains your services in plain English, shows who you are and makes it easy to book a call. We design fast, mobile-first sites with a page for each service, a clear contact route and trust signals such as the professional bodies you belong to. See our web development services.

Lead generation for accountants
New clients search for an accountant near them and for help with a specific need, such as a limited company or self assessment. Our SEO services build the pages and local signals that answer those searches, and paid search can fill gaps while rankings grow.

Client portal for accountants
In our planned practice software, clients see what you have asked for and upload records in one place, instead of sending email attachments. Staff would sign in once through LAMTANS Single Sign-On, and each client would see only their own records. The portal is optional, so clients who prefer paper can still send it.

Deadline reminders for practices
The planned software would hold a calendar of deadlines per client, explain where each date comes from and send a reminder in good time. Some building blocks, such as reminders and invoicing, are already used by our own group companies. They are not a finished product for sale.

Making Tax Digital
Digital tax reporting rules for sole traders and landlords are being phased in. Our planned software does not yet have HMRC recognition, so it cannot send anything to HMRC until it does. Even then, a named person would approve each submission.

Why practices talk to us
Partners tell us the same things: too much time spent retyping figures, clients who send records late, and deadlines tracked in several places. A website will not fix all of that, and we say so. It can bring in better-fitting clients, while our planned software aims at the chasing and the retyping. We would rather help you with one real problem than sell you everything.

Where to start
If you need a website or more enquiries, book a free proposal now. If you want to help shape the software, register your interest and tell us how your practice works. See the full accountancy practice management software page.
What an accountancy firm website should include
A plain-English page for each service you offer.
Who you are, with photos and professional memberships you hold.
How your fees work, or how to ask for a quote.
A short contact or booking form that reaches a person.
Answers to the questions new clients always ask.

How we would start with your practice
We begin with a call about how your firm works today: how records arrive, who chases whom and where time is lost. For a website we then agree pages and goals in a proposal. For the planned software we note your needs and invite you to help shape the design. You decide whether to go ahead at each step.

Looking after client information
Accountants hold sensitive records, so tools must be careful. Our websites use secure connections and protected forms. The planned software keeps each client's records separate and shows where every figure came from. Read how we handle website security for the practical details.
